We’re overdue for an update. Thanks for sticking with us.
Back in February, we got our hands on an early production model Cybertruck, scanned final dimensions, and started redesigning our truck cap and wedge camper.
We’re excited to share that we finished designs for The Wedge & The Cap to match Tesla’s production specs in March and have been ready to enter the tooling phase.
In addition to our engineering efforts, we’ve been working full-time to raise the funding we need to get into production. While part of that money’s been committed, we still have a ways to go.
To put it on record, we believe Cybertruck’s proven to be a revolutionary vehicle and know many new truck owners feel the same. Unfortunately, the media hasn’t been kind to Tesla this year.
Our experience has been that many of our early investment leads had a hard time looking past bad headlines and opted to monitor pilot production before committing final funds.
Once necessary funding is locked in we’ll spend approximately 3 months in the tooling phase before our products come to market. Our goal was always to be up and running as soon as Cybertruck hit the road but a lot has changed since we started this project over 4 years ago. We sincerely apologize that this message isn’t a clearer timeline for the delivery of your camper.
We wanted to give you the full picture of our progress today and share a massive thank you. Your support through making a reservation or putting your name down on our truck cap waitlist has helped us keep moving this project forward.
While we plan to share more updates on the redesign soon, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions you want answered.
We’re always looking to accelerate this project and connect with good people. Here’s a link to some company highlights if you’re interested in learning more. We’re easy to reach and always excited to share our plans for Space Campers.
Best,
The Space Campers Team
